Cornish Yurt Holidays provides a superbly relaxing retreat away from the tourist crowds in stunning countryside on the edge of Bodmin Moor.

With comfort in mind, each secluded yurt is a real hideaway, beautifully and luxuriously furnished.

Everything is handmade, including the yurts themselves, the double beds, the richly coloured linings and textiles, Kazakh embroideries, cushions and willow log baskets.

An electricity free zone, guests can make themselves cosy by firing the wood burning stove and lighting the lanterns. Here, creature comforts and a love of nature combine together to make a memorable stay.

Whether it’s a couple, a group of friends or a family, this is the kind of holiday which gives people a chance to reconnect with each other and their environment.

The car park is some distance from the yurts (lifts provided) so it’s truly peaceful.

There is also a good food pub and the Post Office cafe both within easy walking distance.

If you wish there is no need to get in the car at all as the wild expanses of Bodmin Moor offers some great walking on the doorstep – or you could just spend an afternoon in a hammock.

For other excursions, many attractions are within easy reach and the dramatic coast of North Cornwall is only 12 miles away.

The mini bathroom yurt is a joy. Bathe in style in a freestanding roll top bath, the water heated by a wood fired stove, and watch the stars twinkling overhead.

For those with a bit more adventure in mind a trip down to the river to swim could be on the menu.
