Brockloch Bothy is situated in the heart of south west Scotland on a small, family-run working farm.

A unique architect designed eco-building, Brockloch Bothy lies in a secluded spot beside a bluebell wood with views out over the Galloway Hills.

Cleverly designed to create a modern, stylish and cosy place to stay, the Bothy will appeal to either couples enjoying a romantic break or families keen to explore this gorgeous part of the country.

The Bothy is a contemporary micro timber framed building which has been sympathetically designed to complement its surroundings.

Brockloch Bothy has been filmed as part of a new Channel 4 television series on “micro design” presented by Restoration Man, George Clark.

The Bothy includes an open plan kitchen/sitting room with wood burning stove and sofa bed.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas hob, oven and small fridge.

The bathroom has a shower and toilet, with a separate double bedroom.

As the Bothy is “off-grid”, photovoltaic panels provide 12v electricity to power low voltage lighting and a point to charge a laptop/mobile phone.

Decking at the front allows you to enjoy the panoramic views over the countryside..

South west Scotland is abundant with fine beaches, golf courses, lochs and rivers to fish.

The Bothy is accessed via a farm track (non tarmac) and is signposted up through a bluebell wood out into an open field, grazed by our black faced sheep.

The farm consists of 190 acres of beautiful unbroken scenery.

There are excellent outdoor activity centres nearby and it is a haven for wildlife including red squirrels, kites and deer.

If you would like to come and experience this truly unique place to stay, then please get in touch.
