Tucked away in a valley amidst the rolling fields and leafy woodlands of the Blackdown Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Devon, these three lovely yurts offer a tranquil haven from the hustle and bustle of modern life.
Set within 30 acres on a smallholding, each yurt enjoys its own secluded spot surrounded with plenty of space to explore and unwind.
The yurts are well equipped and each have composting toilets and running water. There is no electricity or gas, but lighting is provided by solar power or wind-up lanterns.
Two of the yurts are wheelchair friendly and with a bit of notice, your hosts at Blackdown Yurts are happy to try to accommodate any special needs.

- Kilim rugs, fluffy sheepskins and plump cushions
- Sturdy beds made of reclaimed wood
- Organic bedding: from wool-stuffed bedrolls and pillows, to the bed linen
- Cast-iron log burner
- Tin roof field kitchen next to each yurt with a camping gas stove and a barbeque
- Cooking and dining equipment provided
- Shared facilities include:
- Shower block with electric showers and a flushing toilet
- Communal barn with sofas, log burning stoves, small electric grill, kettle, toaster and fridge/freezer
