Named by The Times as one of the 50 Best Campsites in the UK, Billycan Camping is a campsite with a difference.

Situated in 650 acres of farmland in West Sussex, the campsite provides an opportunity to sleep in fully-fitted canvas bell tents, dine under the night sky, toast marshmallows on the communal camp fire, wake up to stunning views and have a break from the hectic routine of every-day life.

Lighting at the campsite is ‘natural’; put another way there is no electricity! Each tent has a lantern outside and pathways are illuminated with tea lights.

An eco-shower and toilets are housed in a separate low-impact building. The washing facilities are in a bell tent comprising Victorian wash bowls and jugs.

The campsite is located a stone’s throw from the River Arun, and within walking distance to the historic town of Arundel, where you can buy anything from a new sleeping bag to organic vegetables, as well as visit The Castle and swim in the Lido.

Features include:

  • 7 bell tents able to sleep between 2 and 5 people each tent
  • 1 tipi sleeping up to 6 people
