All tents have wood-burning stoves and WCs and can sleep six/eight people in two bedrooms and a cosy ‘cupboard’ bed.

We also have a few animals which the children enjoy. ‘Hansel and Gretel’, our sheep will welcome you when you arrive and every morning, we also have chickens and so are able to offer free-range eggs.

The Creuse is an unknown and undeveloped part of France, with rolling hills and forests, small hamlets, traditional restaurants and friendly people.

We can provide information on local walks, attractions, restaurants etc, with a reservation service for guests whose French is a little rusty.

The tipis have a chunky wooden box for storage, plus candles and lanterns for atmospheric lighting and a bright lantern for night time trips to the loo.

The spacious dome is 6m in diameter and 4m high and is sited on a wooden platform. It can sleep four adults, two on a comfy double bed, made from locally sourced wood with a sumptuous mattress and two on single pull out beds.

Each bed is topped with luxurious, contemporary welsh blankets, throws and sheepskins.

Cosy duvets and crisp cotton bedding can be provided for a small extra charge.

There is a boys and girls compost loo and washroom in the woods and a basic solar shower is provided with each tent unit. Alternatively pop up to the house and use the newly converted and more conventional wet room.

Cook on the open fire, have a barbecue or knock yourself something up on the camping stove in the simple, shared deck kitchen.

The kitchen is equipped with traditional enamel crockery, pots, pans, cutlery and cooking utensils, a cool box and storage box for dried food.

Fresh spring water is provided in a butt in the kitchen and washroom for drinking, washing, washing-up and cooking but there is no running water on the site.
