<p>Each tipi is placed in its own individual setting within the woodland offering seclusion and privacy but minutes away from campsite facilities.</p>
<p>All tipis can comfortably accommodate a family of four.</p>
<p>The tipis are on a raised platform for extra comfort and are tastefully furnished.</p>
<p>Breakfast is included and if guests really want to treat themselves we offer table d&#8217;hote, a four course meal, on selected evenings.</p>
<p>Our second aim is to allow people to have an environmentally friendly and sustainable holiday.</p>

<p>This tranquil tipi and dome holiday setting lends itself to a relaxed,   alternative break away from the trappings of a hectic life.</p>

<p>Each tipi is 5.5m in diameter, sited on a wooden platform and comfortably sleeps four adults on a double and two single futons. Each futon is topped with traditional welsh blankets, throws and sheepskins.</p>
<p>The tipis have a chunky wooden box for storage, plus candles and lanterns for atmospheric lighting and a bright lantern for night time trips to the loo.</p>
<p>The spacious dome is 6m in diameter and 4m high and is sited on a wooden platform. It can sleep four adults, two on a comfy double bed, made from locally sourced wood with a sumptuous mattress and two on single pull out beds.</p>
<p>Each bed is topped with luxurious, contemporary welsh blankets, throws and sheepskins.</p>
<p>Cosy duvets and crisp cotton bedding can be provided for a small extra charge.</p>
<p>There is a boys and girls compost loo and washroom in the woods and a basic solar shower is provided with each tent unit. Alternatively pop up to the house and use the newly converted and more conventional wet room.</p>
<p>Cook on the open fire, have a barbecue or knock yourself something up on the camping stove in the simple, shared deck kitchen.</p>
<p>The kitchen is equipped with traditional enamel crockery, pots, pans, cutlery and cooking utensils, a cool box and storage box for dried food.</p>
<p>Fresh spring water is provided in a butt in the kitchen and washroom for drinking, washing, washing-up and cooking but there is no running water on the site.</p>
<p>Within a mile of the path that forms the border between England and Wales, close to Rosgoch Nature Reserve and adjacent to a footpath and bridleway, Cosy Under Canvas is an ideal retreat for those seeking a base for walking or exploring the area.</p>
<p>The unique market town of Hay on Wye with its mass of bookshops is only four miles away and the opportunities locally for outdoor activities are endless. They include hiking, walking, horse riding, trekking, canoeing, cycling, climbing, gliding and caving.</p>
