“Cosy shepherd's hut on a working sheep farm, a short distance from Camber Sands and the historic town of Rye.”

Description of Hare Farm Hideaways

The Shepherd’s Hut at Hare Farm is set in Chestnuts Field, sheltered by a copse and looking out over a lake with far reaching views of the Brede Valley in East Sussex.

It replicates the shape and look of its authentic Victorian origins as a shepherds shelter, but now includes the modern elements and detailing for a taste of luxury camping, or glamping as it’s more popularly known.

The hut is built by Plankbridge, based in Dorset, who care deeply about the quality and heritage.

It sleeps two in a full sized double bed, with cushions, throws and a woodburner to keep you warm even on the chilliest of nights.

There is room for a child under 5 to sleep on an airbed in the hut and extra adults/children are welcome to pitch a tent alongside the hut at an additional cost. Campers must provide own tent, bedding etc.

The hut is lit by lanterns and torches and there is a camping stove for simple cooking and boiling a kettle for that early morning cup of tea.

Painted in Farrow & Ball colours, cupboards under the bed and a small dresser provide ample storage.

There are two directors chairs and a let down table by the double window overlooking the views.

Outside is a perfect spot for a BBQ and the fully fitted kitchen and wetroom are a short stroll away of under a minute, based in the newly restored Sussex barn.

Hare Farm is a working sheep farm set in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is fully committed to both preserving and enhancing wildlife, conservation and our heritage.

A short distance from Camber Sands, Hastings and the historic towns of Rye and Battle in East Sussex.
