“Eco-friendly shepherds huts in a beautiful setting with fabulous views, nestling in the Peak District National Park.”

Description of Lowes Farm

A choice of two super, eco friendly shepherds huts in a beautiful setting, with fabulous views, nestling in the Peak District National Park overlooking the Manifold Valley.

Enjoy a peaceful and relaxing get away, or a cosy romantic glamping break combining the traditional feel of a shepherds hut with a few modern touches like an en suite toilet.

Our huts have been designed to complement the environment, echoing the rural traditions of the Peaks.

One hut accommodates 2 persons while the other can sleep 3 people.

Lots to do & see or just chill with the horses, miniature sheep and chickens on the farm.

On the wild side we have frequent visits from hares, badgers and foxes (tho the last 2 are not so easy to spot) and a variety of birds including kestrels, buzzards, curlews, lapwings and skylarks. A superb spot for nature lovers and artists.

The tranquil, rural setting of the Shepherds Huts at Lowes is the perfect place for a retreat, to escape from the pressures of daily life, regroup and recharge your batteries.

Overlooking the Manifold Valley, it’s a great base for walking or cycling.

The Manifold Trail and Thors Cave are just a couple of miles away there is a walk from the farm) and the Tissington, Monsal and High Peaks trails are all within easy reach.

For thrill seekers Alton Towers is only about 8 miles away.

Other nearby attractions include Chatsworth House, the Chestnut Owl and Otter Sanctuary, the Blue John Caverns, Ilam Park and Dovedale and the Churnet Valley Railway to mention just a few.
