Description of The Wee Howf
Totally secluded with amazing views of the lochan and countryside beyond, you are immersed in the environment but have a very special place to stay.
This romantic cabin for two lets you experience glamping with a difference.
Fully insulated with a log burning stove and candle light – no there is no electricity, but you will be provided with everything you need to make this an amazing place to stay at any time of the year.
The Wee Howf is built on stilts, amongst the trees with a burn running right underneath!
In the evening sit outside by the open fire beside the lochan, barbecue or cook on the camping gas.
Using the pulley pull a bottle of wine or beer up from the ‘fridge in the burn’ and enjoy views over the Ochils, or watch the fish jump. In the summer the swallows will dip in the water …
You will be treated to lots of birds, wildlife, our two highland cows, soay sheep, ponies and much more.
At the end of the day settle down in the sumptuous double bed, star gaze through the star gazing window and listen to the burn bubbling under the WEE HOWF.
The facilities include the newly created ‘Wash Howf ‘ which is a pleasant 200m walk along the lochan and up to the main buildings. It has been created in a charming country style offering you a shower, toilet, hair drying facility, fridge/freezer and washing up area.
There is plenty to do in the area but if you don’t feel like leaving the Wee Howf you can just enjoy the two acres of grounds and gardens at Craighead.

Other Accommodation at The Wee Howf
Unique glamping summer house that sleeps two, hidden in part of our garden. Curtained to give a distinct camping feel but with the choice of electric or candles.
It sits fully surrounded by trees and shrubs, flanked by a burn with a pond above and an abundance of wildlife.
An awning provides a sheltered camp cook area.
Outside furniture and fire pit ensure you can enjoy the spot. A short walk takes you to the toilet/shower facility, kitchen area, washing up and fridge/freezer and microwave.

The Wash Howt provides you with a delightful shower and toilet facility with separate kitchen area. This area will only be ever used by two parties of two.
There is also a fridge freezer, microwave, additional firewood and local information. The design carries through the country feel.
