Description of Bamff Estate Glamping
Banff is a small estate offering glamping holidays on the edge of the Scottish Highlands in East Perthshire.
We have two beautiful Mongolian yurts. They are in a lovely open grassy area, surrounded by mature trees and on the edge of a wood behind our house, which is a very old Scottish castle.
The yurts are beautifully decorated and well equipped. They share a campfire site and they each have barbecues.
Further from the house, overlooking two beaver dams and next to a larger wood, we have a gorgeous wooden cabin with double bed, stove, composting loo, and basic cooking facilities – ideal for romantic overnight wildlife watching.
BAMFF is an ancient family-run estate, managed with great consideration for the environment: a paradise for nature lovers and walkers.
As well as beavers, there are owls, roe deer, red squirrels and many other animals living in the woods, and you hear and see them often.
We have virtually no light pollution, and great wide skies for watching the stars.
The Cateran Trail comes through the estate, and there are many other lovely walks, including in the hills immediately to the north.
We have two bikes that we can lend out.

It overlooks two beaver dams. It has a double bed, basic cooking facilities and wood burning stove.
Very romantic and perfect for overnight wildlife watching.

On the ground floor of the castle (about 100m from the yurts), we have a kitchen, loo, wet room shower and common room/dining room for use by glamping guests.
Whilst these are communal, they are only shared by two yurts (four people) and Hideaway guests (who will probably only ever use the shower).
