Description of Gravito Retreat Centre
Just 3 kilometres from the town of Pedrogao Grande in Central Portugal, Gravito is a small hamlet of four houses nestled in a beautiful valley with the river Pera running through it.
Three comfortably furnished tipis are available on raised wooden decks.
Individuals, couples, families and groups are welcome.
You are welcome to use the barn’s large equipped outdoor covered kitchen with its view over the valley, and its adjoining cool and rustic dining room.
Alternatively, vegetarian lunch and evening meals can be provided.
There are two solar-heated showers and a compost toilet with a view.
A covered decked veranda looking down over the vegetable gardens and on towards the river is located behind the shower block a great place to practice yoga, read a book or just take in your surroundings.
The beautiful Kyrgyzstani yurt where we host retreats and workshops is yours to enjoy (yoga mats, blocks, meditation cushions available).
There is a truly idyllic swimming hole on the land, and one of the regions river beaches a half hours walk away with a cafe and restaurant.
Gravito operates off-grid using solar energy for hot water and electricity.
It has its own spring for drinking water.
