“A pop-up glamping experience on a coastal farm, located next to a 7 mile sandy beach in Northumberland.”

Description of The Bells of Hemscott

We offer summer Glamping and Wildish Camping on our coastal farm at Druridge Bay in Northumberland, next to a 7 mile sandy beach.

The Bells of Hemscott is a pop-up glamping experience operating for a few weeks only in the Summer Holidays with the meadow being returned to farmland at the end of the summer.

Our Canvas Village of Bell Tents is located in a 20 acre meadow on the farm overlooking the ponds.

From the Village it is only a 10 minute stroll to the most amazing sandy beach.

A cosy Shepherd’s Hut sleeps 2 people and occupies a quiet spot in the meadow for the perfect romantic getaway.

Our Bell Tents sleep 2 adults and up to 3 children are all fully furnished with a double airbed, double futon and a child sized chair bed.

We provide bedding for the double bed and ask you to bring bedding for the others if required.

Facilities in the Canvas Village are basic with clean compost loos and a kitchen shed.

There are hot showers at the farm. You’ll find though that you don’t need much in the way of facilities when you are cooking over a fire with a glass of wine in your hand watching our beautiful sunsets and dark skies.

We are a Farmstay destination and animal visits can be arranged, including walks with our adorable alpacas.

If you have your own camping gear we also have a Wildish Camping area in the Dunes, just a few seconds hop onto the shore.

We also opened Calico Barn, a beautifully converted Bunkbarn, in 2016 which sleeps 18 in 5 bedrooms with a fully equipped living and kitchen area.

2017 will see the arrival of our Beach Pods.

The Bells of Hemscott is available to hire for Hen Weekends through our partner Clarty Events Co, see website for details.
