Description of Samlesbury Hall’s Hut Hamlet
If you yearn for the freedom of camping, without sacrificing the luxury of a hotel, look no further than glamping at the Hut Hamlet at Samlesbury Hall, near Preston in Lancashire.
The scattering of woodland surrounding the Hamlet offers shelter and seclusion in a corner of the picturesque grounds, and transports you far from the stress of modern life.
Brush against the traditional camping ethos and dine al fresco on the picnic benches, your fire-pit barbecuing your dinner just next to the hut.
We provide camping lanterns to all huts, and offer fire pits to huddle round if the evening gets chilly.
The huts are adaptable shelters; designed to keep you cool in summer and toasty when the cold of winter creeps in.
Memory foam mattresses, soft furnishings, and full central heating will lull you into a deep sleep at night. If you’re up early you might spot the local deer who are regular visitors.
Each hut sleeps four in two double beds (bunks), and has room for a travel cot.
The huts have low-wattage electric (enough to keep your phone charged). The en-suite boasts a hot shower, soft towels and complimentary toiletries.
The site has free Wi-Fi and parking, and access to the Hall and grounds is free when open.
Breakfast can be taken in the restaurant in the Hall, just £10.00 for a full (locally sourced) English, with eggs from our own hens and all the tea and coffee you can drink.
On site there’s mini golf and a driving range, and the Hall itself; a historic house built in 1325.
Highlights include the Mayflower play area, Dottie’s Wafflery, and the award winning restaurant. Please check opening times before your visit.
