“Traditional lodging with modern day standards in this shepherds hut located near the South Downs National Park.”

Description of Beverley Farm

Our newly built shepherd’s hut is located in a small orchard with excellent views over the surrounding countryside including the famous Watercress steam train line on the horizon.

It is a modern hut, fully insulated with a double bed, electric lights, power sockets, and a small wood burner, and so comfortable from the start.

Our site is easily accessible off of the A31 yet set alongside fields and so quiet and private, the market towns of Alton and Alresford and within 10mins drive, and the Cathedral City of Winchester is just 20 minutes away.

The maritime cities of Portsmouth and Southampton are slightly further afield, as is the cathedral city of Guildford.

Notable attractions ‘on the doorstep’ include: Jane Austen’s house, Gilbert White’s house, Watercress line, and the South Downs National Park.

Whilst the hut does not have cooking facilities, there are lots of places to eat in the nearby towns of Alton and Alresford.

In the village of Four Marks (2 mins drive / 15mins walk) there is also a Chinese takeaway, Indian restaurant (& takeaway), Fish & Chip shop, and a Bar & Restaurant at the Golf course.

In the village of Medstead there is a local pub (20mins walk, 4mins drive), and Cafe (15mins walks, 2mins drive).

In the adjoining village of Wield, there is a very popular pub called the Yew Tree which services excellent food all day.

Please note: minimum booking is for 2 nights.
