Description of The Midsummer Retreat
The Midsummer Retreat is hidden deep in S.W. France, tucked away in its own private and peaceful valley.
A haven for both couples and families alike, the camp is designed as an individual and secluded glamping space, and it’s exclusively yours, so there’s no sharing with with anyone except the wildlife around it.
The Summer Kitchen and Sleeping Space are hand finished, natural, wood and canvas structures, designed as light and airy spaces in order to be as close to nature as possible.
They have been carefully crafted using Ash, Oak and Hazel from our woodland hillside.
Set in the grounds of an old French farmhouse, with its wooded hillside and gardens, and surrounded by trees, birds and flowers, the only traffic your likely to see here is the odd passing tractor.
Walk in the surrounding valleys, whilst buzzards swoop and cicadas sing.
Meet our friendly cats and their kittens who you will probably find lolling about the camp, collect eggs from the free range hens and pick herbs from the garden.
Sit with a book under the covered terrace of the summer kitchen or venture out and explore ancient villages.
Swim and canoe in the river and picnic by the water.
