Description of Tom’s Eco Lodge
Tom’s Eco Lodge is five luxurious safari tents, two spacious cabins and two cosy pods each nestled away in the glorious surroundings of Tapnell Farm on the Isle of Wight.
Tapnell Farm boasts panoramic views of sea and countryside, and it was also the setting for the legendary and original Isle of Wight Festival in 1970, think Jimi, The Doors, Joni, The Who etc.
It is the perfect location for an adventurous or relaxing family glamping holiday, group get together or romantic hideaway.
Tapnell Farm is both a working farm and island attraction. You can find lots to do for everyone- adventure activities, bike hire, restaurant, play barn, gallery & gift shop, clay pigeon shooting and much more!
The Island is easily accessible from mainland England and boasts the most sun in the UK, so you can soak it up on the beach or on your terrace with a bbq and Jacuzzi!
The great thing about being a small island is that you are never far from the coastline, with its many miles of great beaches to discover.
Whether you are looking to play, relax, walk, ride, sail, surf, kite or swim there are beaches for you. Our local favourites are Compton and Freshwater Bay.
For food and drink lovers, great pubs, cafes, farm shops, vineyards and tasty restaurants welcome you all over the Island.
Some of the most inspiring creatives in history once lived on or visited the Isle of Wight, from Tennyson and Shakespeare to Julia Margaret Cameron and Lewis Carroll.
It is said that Shakespeare was inspired by Freshwater Bay and started writing The Tempest whilst looking out over the breathtaking coastline.
If its photography you are into, then what better place to capture. The scenery is so stunning; it almost does the work for you!
There are plenty of places that will inspire your creativity just come and see for yourself.
