“A vintage 1958 Airstream trailer with hot tub, set in a Victorian farm courtyard near the sea in glorious South Devon.”

Description of The Airstream at Swallows’ Flight

Our 1958 vintage American Airstream Caravan sleeps two adults and up to four children.

It is sited in our farm courtyard which has a big lawn and plenty of parking nearby.

In the caravan there is a seating and dining area which converts into a 7ft double bed for the adults at night.

There is also a bedroom with four small bunk beds comfortably sleeping children up to 1.4m tall.

The custom built wood galley kitchen has a sink, small fridge, combination oven/microwave, a gas four ring hob and storage cupboards.

On board there is also a proper flushing toilet, as well as storage in the form of six roomy drawers.

Washroom, kitchen and laundry facilities can be found in the Granary barn.

The caravan measures 31ft in length and 7ft in width.

The Granary Barn:

There is a converted ground level granary barn in the Courtyard where guests can find a shower wet room, a utility/sink area with fridge and washing machine and some space to hang out in the dry.

This shared space (shared with one other self catering barn) is a great place to wash off muddy boots or wetsuits, make a cup of tea to take into the garden, find some books to read or indoor games to play.

Relax in our rooftop hot tub on a deck overlooking the garden with southerly views to Start Point.

On a clear night, the stars are truly a sight to behold as we have very little street lighting being surrounded by acres of open farmland near the sea in glorious South Devon.

Framed by ancient walls, it's set in the sheltered courtyard of a farmhouse, where the graceful gardens are yours to explore.

Inside there is a 7ft double bed which converts into a dining area, a kitchen, loo and bedroom with four small bunks for kids up to 1.4m tall.

Communal Areas

  • Shared Showers

The Granary Barn is a barn used by Airstream guests as well as guests staying in our small self catering property.

The Granary has a wet room, kitchen, washing machine, large fridge, freezer, dining area.

In practice it is not used much by self catering guests as they have their own kitchen and bathroom.

Shared Amenities

The hot tub is situated on a private deck in a converted Victorian water tower overlooking farmland.

It is used by both Airstream guests and guests staying in our converted barn.
