Description of Jacob’s Hut
Jacob’s Hut comprises of a Shepherds Hut and summerhouse set in the glorious Devon Countryside.
From the stable door you look out onto the pond and on the opposite hill is Thrushelton Church.
There is a firepit in front of the summerhouse for rustling up a meal in the dutch oven or simply for toasting marshmallows. Toasting fork and Dutch oven supplied.
For cooler evenings you have a woodburner in the hut and lighting is by LED storm lanterns.
Cooking is available at the side of Jacob’s Hut and is under canvas.
There is a gas barbecue that has a single boiling ring or just a few steps away the fire pit with Dutch Oven.
You have access to a fridge and deep freeze with ice cubes and wine coolers in Grumpy’s Shed plus plenty of tea lights, candles and fairy lights for a romantic break.
There is a selection of books, board games, cards and dominoes to while away the evenings.
60 paces away there is a private shower room plus access to power points and Wi-Fi should you need them, along with a mirror and hairdryer.
Please note: there is no electricity at the hut.

Jacob's Hut is an ideal place to escape to.
On arrival guests are welcomed with tea or coffee and homemade cake or biscuits.
If you wish to be spoilt breakfast is available for an additional cost, this is served in the Summerhouse or outside on sunny mornings.
We are always on hand should you need us but leave you in peace to enjoy this beautiful tranquil spot.

The Boot Room is where you can access electric sockets and where the hairdryer and mirror are. We use it for our wellies and coats.
Grumpy's Shed is an outside barn where the fridge and freezer are.
Guests have 24hr access to both the Boot Room and Grumpy's Shed.
Wi-Fi available in Boot Room only.

Due to our rural location you might like to bring essential supplies for your first evening.
Store cupboard supplies in the hut include tea, coffee, sugar, s&p, sauces, olive oil, 1pt milk.
