Description of Drybeck Farm
Drybeck Farm is in a little known but truly beautiful corner of Cumbria with our site on the banks of the idyllic River Eden.
We are a luxury glamping site in Cumbria’s Eden Valley offering two yurts, a gypsy caravan and a 1970s touring caravan.
The experience we offer is about the natural environment, a sustainable approach to our smallholding and facilities, but with the simple comforts and opulence of a bygone age.
Our yurts are made locally. They are equipped to sleep up to 6 in comfort. If you wish extra bedding and mattresses can be provided for up to 2 more people
We provide high quality bedding and bed linen.
The yurts have solar powered lighting and sockets as well as candles.
Each yurt has a wood burning stove.
Near the yurts is our communal cook house with a fully equipped kitchen for each yurt.
Each yurt has their own outside table and chairs and open fire pit.
Nearby are our eco-friendly compost toilets and showers.
We have a games/ reading/ music room which also has internet access.
We have a small shop from which you can buy our own produce including sausage, bacon, eggs, pork, fruit, veg, preserves and home-baked bread and cakes as well as a small range of other basic provisions.
A complimentary breakfast hamper for your first morning including Drybeck’s own sausage, dry cured bacon and free range eggs and home baked bread.
We are handy for the Lake District, Carlisle, Northern Pennines, Solway Coast and Hadrians Wall. We have a station in the village on the Carlisle-Settle railway.

The interiors are beautifully appointed with vintage furniture and soft furnishings either re-cycled or personally chosen by Paula.
The wood burning stove will chase away the evening chill for you to then wake up to the sound of the birds and the river.
Evenings can be spent outside by a roaring fire whilst listening to the owls and the river.
