Run by a Dutch couple, Quinta da Cumieira is a small tranquil B&B with two furnished safari tents, offering lots of privacy in the northern part of Portugal.
Situated in a very beautiful part of the Minho region approximately an hour’s drive east of Porto airport, this winemaking farm is surrounded by 7.5 acres of vineyards, fruit and nut trees and is bordered by the river Peio on the south-west side.
Amongst the vineyards sit these luxuriously furnished safari tents raised on wooden platforms.
The spacious inner tent is 45m2 and each tent can accommodate a maximum of 4 people.
Inside, both tents have their own private bathroom with hot shower, wash basin and toilet.
The tents provide a lot of privacy and have their own private terrace with a table and chairs for romantic evenings.
Here you have what feels like the luxury of a hotel suite but with the adventure of camping in nature.
Around the swimming pool there is a pool house with a bar and BBQ area, together with a terrace and sun loungers for sun bathing and enjoying outdoor meals, a cool beer or a good glass of our own Vinho Verde wine.
Quinta da Cumieira is the perfect retreat after visiting the wine cellars of Porto, a walk through the Serra da Cabreira, a day of sightseeing in nearby Guimarães, Braga, Amarante or after enjoying the quiet unspoiled beaches of Vila do Conde.
