Situated in the Alentejo region on Portugal’s southwest coast, Portugal Nature Lodge offers the experience of camping in nature combined with the comfort of a hotel.
Take your pick from private and well equipped tents including a safari-style tent, a yurt and two tipis, one of which is large enough to accommodate a family or group of friends.
Beautifully furnished and supplied with a private bathroom as well as an outside cooking area, every tent also enjoys a spacious terrace for lounging and soaking up the magnificent views over coastal hills.
The safari tent stands on its own hill and from the veranda you can see the sun set in the Atlantic Ocean.
The yurt is protected from the sun by cork oaks, which also provide lots of shade outside.
The tipis give an adventurous feeling with lots of space to play around.
Although surrounded with an abundance of nature and tranquility, you’re never too far from a bar where you can watch Portuguese village life go by.
The southwest Alentejo is one of the most unspoilt stretches of coast in southern Europe.
Just north of the Algarve, between the coastal villages of Zambujeira do Mar and Vila Nova de Milfontes, the nature lodge is located just 10 km from the beautifully clean, clear ocean with several wonderful beaches only half an hour drive away.
