Lakeview Yurt Retreat aims to provide a tranquil and healing setting for private retreat, meditation, yoga and relaxation in Pedrógão Grande, Central Portugal.
This is a very special yurt holiday in that the yurt is set in a stunning lake side location within a designated ‘Eco Zone’.
The crystal clear lake is literally five meters from the veranda.
A small rowing boat is provided for you to explore the lake at your leisure and three vegan/vegetarian/raw meals are provided each day which gives you the opportunity to remain at the retreat if you desire.
All amenities at Lakeview Yurt Retreat have been designed to minimize environmental impact.
We use solar power for all our electricity needs and have a unique compost toilet with an amazing view over the lake.
Opposite the compost toilet, on our sunniest terrace, you will find the solar hot water shower.
The shower will provide enough hot water for 2 people for about 10 minutes each, however the temperature of the water in the solar shower is of course dependent on the sun.
There is much to explore in the surrounding region including the Serra da Estrela mountains less than 2 hours away.
